Monk Carpentry was started in Red Deer, AB in the year 2020, and has been going strong ever since. There is a growing need for honest, reliable contractors that can tackle large or small projects in Central Alberta and Monk Carpentry fills this need.

Large Construction Projects
We have a reliable network of sub-trades that we use when providing General Contract work for our clients. Whether its building a detached garage or an extensive "full home" renovation, we can get the job done in a timely manner, and provide competitive pricing.
Small Construction Projects
Based on clients needs, we can also do the "one man" project. Usually a smaller renovation such as a bathroom renovation, a window or door replacement or a home repair. The owner (Kalyn Monk) is a journeyman carpenter with over 26 years of experience in the trades, and works on the tools full-time. He has extensive knowledge of residential construction and can provide additional solutions to your unique home and project.
3D Design for Renovations
Monk Carpentry is also providing design help for clients. We have done numerous 3D drawings and digital models to help clients get a feel for their project to scale. This helps with making important decisions (i.e. visualizing the space) before ever swinging a hammer or removing a wall.
